Aviaatorid 2 | Birds: Chapter 2

Aviaatorid 2

Eestlased Sao Miguelil (: Nt kivirullijad. Kuigi kurvaks tegi see, kus nad oma toitu otsisid – veidra ja rohke plastikprügi keskel siblides kiiresti-kiiresti.

Üks hästi mõnus park on Terra Nostra. Seal on kirev linnustik.

Lindudele on seal neile väga sobilikud elutingimused – veesilmad, tihnikud, kõrged puud, lilled, marjapõõsad, kastanipuud.

Saare tippkiskja on Assoori hiireviu – Buteo buteo rothschildi. Teda on ikka igal pool.

Birds: Chapter 2

I was as ready as I could – always with my tele-lens and always carrying it with me. I wanted to see and catch as many birds as possible and to collect new species into my birding list (: And it did happened once that on a stormy day to rose-ringed parakeets were in our garden shouting loudly. They were so green that if they only could’ve kept their peak shut I could’ve walked right pass them.

But it is also heart-warming to see familiar birds, like ruddy turnstones. Although the beach they were scanning for food was a sad sight – full of unidentified plastic garbage.

We visited Parque Terra Nostra and that is a very cool place. There were also birds who were brought there, shelducks and gooses but there are also wild birds, because it is full of different types of landscape – greeneries, streams and ponds, high trees, bushes. I saw there a new subspecies – the Madeiran Chaffinch (:

The biggest carnivore on the island is the Azores Buzzard - buteobuteo rothschildi. And they are everywhere.
